Is Global Warming Real?

A number of people seemed to think that global warming is not happening and that one of the most pressing world issues promoted by environmental activists and even by politicians like Al Gore is not really true, that what really exists is a global warming hoax.

My favourite part of “The Swindle” is Ball identified to be in a Dept that never existed with a degree that his alma mater University never offered – classic Denier ‘facts’.
“The Swindle” is such an appalling piece of propaganda it took 176 pages to document all of the lies, distortions and misrepresentations.

If one just sees what’s happening he can draw his own conclusions: smoke from millions of factories, more smoke from billions of cars, even more smoke from airplanes.
Don’t people kill themselves by locking themselves up in the garage with a running car? Isn’t that just what we’re collectively doing on a global scale?
At the same time we are chopping and burning forests and jungles that render clean and fresh air.
Is there anyone out there who would dare to state this is GOOD for the climate? What do you mean hoax?

Just a note, I did not say the global warming is a hoax, what I mean to say is, there seems to be a number of people who believe that global warming is a hoax.
I have not yet made thorough evaluations so as to believe or not to believe that global warming is a real thing. Nevertheless, I do believe that many of the precautions people observe to combat global warming is in fact beneficial for humanity. Planting trees and not burning wastes, for example, do have its health benefits and nobody wants to travel in streets clouded with smokes and soots.

Don’t worry!
I know YOU are not one who believes GW is a hoax but that you are saying a lot of people DO. It’s to those people that my comment is directed.
If I remember well it’s a direct copy of a comment on DIGG. Maybe a bit out of your context and maybe even a bit aggressive, but that’s because the people you refer to, who think Global Warming is a hoax, all seem to post to DIGG.
The number of stupid comments on DIGG of shortsighted people that claim Global Warming IS a hoax is frightening…. and they seem to be dominating at DIGG.
It’s to those people I say: “What do you mean, hoax???”
And indeed, even if it were a hoax, taking care of our planet is good for humanity anyway

Yes, hoax or not, people should do something to make the earth a more livable planet. Global warming may not really be drastically resulted in by human activities but these same activities, like operating coal burning plants can directly affect us negatively. Emissions from coal burning plants , for example is said to cause lung damage.

Rhodilee right on anything you burn is bad whe have the answer nuculer power and mandate over 10 years 50% of all cars be electric and electric heat in all homes, but all this high tec bull green power all costs to much per killowatt hour to afford. Nuculer power gets a bad wrap but its the cheapest and best solution to the current crises . The real problem is washington only listens for a few weeks at election time and never comes up with an energy plan because it not popular with somebody and it takes guts to pass. I do not belive in globel warming and never did what are we in a temporay cold spell and we will be all hot this summer. We are leaders not folowers we take the risk and the world will be forced to folow right now we are folowing the french 80% nuculer . How many people died and got sick at 3 mile island? the russians are a different story we need to buld them their reactors. I am 50 years old and would like to know what to younger generation thinks of nuculer power and what your teachers tought you on the subject. When I was in 6th grade we learned about having more mass transportation to cut down on emssions from cars and trucks. My take today is they made cars 10 times cleaner and put 20 times more cars on the road for a net gain in polution produced.
